IFF PANEL

The Identify Friend or Foe Panel (IFF) is used to electronically identify aircraft that are beyond visual range. The IFF sends an encrypted signal to the unidentified aircraft for them to reply to. The correct response indicates this is a friendly aircraft.

In terms of this panels build – whilst not wired or interfaced this panel is considered complete. This panel is not replicated in the DCS simulation however has all the relevant components to enable interfacing should a 3rd party, develop an application or plug-in.
